Grandma's Jewelry

I was in a creative whirl yesterday. I used my grandma's jewelry to make
three art pieces. The two cross artworks were requested by my mom, she'll
get one and one will be sent to my uncle.

The hanging mobile I just love. It is an assemblage of my grandma's
costume jewelry. I have been dreaming of this for a while now and was
thrilled to come across a metal holder that resembled a birdcage.

I love this project...

boy does this ever make me want to get my hands dirty with some projects! it's so adorable and wonderful!!!

Jan 24 Art Journal

Trying to get myself back into a routine of making art... hard to make art
just for art's sake... without a real "purpose." Especially now as I have
other passions that are near and dear to my heart as well...

art inspiration from england

Patterns and shapes from England... inspiration everywhere! The metal doors
are the front of Westminster Abbey, the stone street of Somerset House, the
windows and garden- Kenilworth Castle. What a wonderful place. Eric and I
had an amazing time exploring the nooks and crannies of various areas of
England. Highly recommended.

A Fun Family Photo Idea

My dear friend Sacha took these great family photos. I LOVE the idea of the
LOVE letters- so creative!! You could do a child's name, a family name, a
grandma's name, spell out a phrase, so many options. Sacha bought these
letters as is at a craft store.

I don't know if this journal page of Boulder, CO is my favorite because of
the art or because we had such a wonderful road trip or because of God's
whisper to me that we are being called there or because Boulder is just such
a beautiful city...

I just love creating these journals! Must get back into the "studio."
(aka room of piles that have no clear home or just haven't made it there

New blocks

I had such a great time getting these blocks ready for a customer. She had
a great idea to use paint instead of stickers since these would be active
play toys for little ones. I decided to stamp some of the letters and paint
on other ones.
