Craft fair!

Valerie, Kristy and I had a wonderful time at the craft fair. Our table was
so cute! (Thanks, Trish!) I didn't do very well sales-wise, but it was
certainly a learning experience. It was intimidating to put myself out
there like that. Art is so personal and asking for critique by selling
items was difficult. At least on the internet, you can't see people facial
expressions or hear their comments. Overall, it was a good time.

Merry Christmas all, our family is off on a grand road-trip adventure and
will return in January!

Mother was clever at making things

This journal is one of my first "commissioned" art pieces. The photo is a friend's husband as a child on a horse made from various random things. Their mother was very creative! The text at the bottom says, "Mother was clever at making things."

My Favorite New Journals

The last one is a photo of my grandmother as a girl in her mother's rose garden. Oh so sweet. Wish I knew what color her dress really was. She was born on her mother's 40th birthday, a last baby and the only girl to spoil and dress in frills.

Getting Ready for Craft Fairs!

My in-progress mess.... I love seeing the unique journals side by side. Many of them aren't finished yet, but wanted to capture the process.

A Dash of You

My best friend, Valerie Kurtz, has just finished a CD of personalized children's songs. I ordered one for each of my children and will be ordering them for christmas presents! They are uplifting and fun as well as being music that you will enjoy. Perfect to put on repeat in the car!

My Dad's Last Project

This was made from pieces of the last project my dad worked on before he died. He loved model railroads and had an elaborate track in the spare bedroom for my boys two enjoy. Included in this piece are the elements of his final train car, hood ornament from his favorite vehicle, golf notes in his own handwriting and a model car he made when he was a teenager. The glasses are those he wore to work on the train. I gave this to my mom on the third anniversary of Dad's death with the promise that if she didn't want it, I get it back! :) A conditional gift, so to speak.

Great Grand Kids

This was a 90th birthday present for my faraway Grandmother. It is of her three great-grandchildren. This piece was assembled using three 4x6 inch canvases and some items from nature- shells and leaves.

Bye Bye Princess Suki Love

This was created in honor of my sister's dear dog who recently died. I was thrilled be able to use her dog tags in this piece. It was created in a small tin, approximately 4 in by 6 in.

Emerson Collage

This was my very first personalized collage for someone outside of our family. I am very proud of it. The collage measures 3 feet by 4 feet and is now the focal point of their living room. I am humbled and blessed!

Paper Bag Album

Why is Blogger rotating my images? Anyone know?

This was a fun project completed at a Women's Ministry Event with my church. It was so much fun to tuck hidden pictures into the openings and attach cute ribbons!

Durward Montage

This piece was created for my dear Grandmother who is 90 years old and far away. It is a photgraph of her 4 children, 2 of whom are now deceased. It was also a special piece for me to make.

Baby Blocks

These baby blocks were created from wood, paper and stickers for my niece, Jayden's first birthday. They were so much fun to make!

Large Collage

The process of making this collage was theraupetic for me after my dad died from cancer at age 60. It includes many elements of his life as well and things that are meaningful to me.
